4 Water Technology Education and Training Directorate
  • Provide practical and job-specific trainings to capacitate the existing and potentially joining manpower of the sector on specific skills through gaps survey and on demand.
  • Conducting gap surveys on water sector professionals and designing short, medium, and long-term training strategies to fill the gaps and carry out impact assessment to improve the training.
  • Prepare and provide practical training to existing and potential new manpower through courses designed in accordance with international practices to fill identified skill gaps among water sector professionals.
  • Identifying training needs based on skills gap analyses, developing group and individual learning courses and managing the training budget. 
  • The directorate of education and training spearheads and oversees the training programs of the Institute.
  • Set goals, establish timelines, coordinate with experts in developing curricula, and link with internal and external parties, building positive relationships along the way.
  • Developing new curricula with the help of trainers, trainees, TMC members and other staff.
  • Create Networking and building professional relationships with members of the institution and the community.
  • Monitoring the progress of new and existing training methods.
  • Closely evaluating results at the end of each quarter and writing up progress reports.
  • Supervising all departments’ recruitment and vetting prospective trainers.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and scheduling workshops for new and existing staff.
